Mr. Nirenstein brings more than 14 years of legal experience to his position as NRG’s Managing Member. He is responsible for the supervision of NRG’s business operations, and in addition to his business management role, actively participates by providing strategic counsel in complex and highly contentious litigated cases.
Prior to founding NRG, Mr. Nirenstein served as Managing Attorney of a multi-state family law firm in its Phoenix-based office. Mr. Nirenstein has represented many diverse and high-profile clients when associated with one of the most well-regarded family law and domestic relations practices in the country. During his tenure in New York City, Mr. Nirenstein worked closely with the President of the New York Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and has dealt extensively with complex property distribution matters, the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Enforcement Act, which determines court jurisdiction in custody disputes that cross state lines, and international custody disputes.
Mr. Nirenstein began his legal career as a litigation associate with Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman, & Dicker, a nationally recognized commercial litigation law firm with over 300 attorneys nationwide, where he specialized in the defense of medical malpractice and other tort cases.
Mr. Nirenstein is active in the Phoenix and Scottsdale communities having four young children, all of which are under six years of age. Mr. Nirenstein is a also member of Social Venture Partners of Arizona, a nonprofit, volunteer driven organization dedicated to nurturing innovative corporate solutions to children's and educational organizations, and contributes his time to many other philanthropic endeavors, including his participation in pro bono representation of financially disadvantaged individuals.
Mr. Nirenstein also author's an advice column concerning Arizona Divorce and Family Law Issues each month in the Phoenix Business Journal.
Mr. Nirenstein is admitted to practice law in Arizona, New York and Connecticut, and is licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. Mr. Nirenstein received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hofstra University in New York, and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of South Carolina.
