Ms. Heller has an outstanding track record as a divorce and family law attorney. She has a great deal of personal insight and passion for client advocacy and financially-related issues, and is well-respected as a Family Law Mediator.
Ms. Heller was admitted to practice law in Arizona in 1986, and began her legal career as a civil litigator. In 2000, Ms. Heller began devoting her entire practice
to the area of divorce and family law, and is especially adept at providing advice in complex child support and arrearages matters.
She has represented clients in virtually all areas of family law, including divorces, complex child custody and parenting time, child support and child support arrears, paternity, spousal maintenance, post-decree modifications, third-party custody disputes (including grandparents rights cases), prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and jurisdictional issues.
Ms. Heller is a member of the Maricopa County Association of Family Law Mediators, and is listed as a member of the Maricopa County Mediator Roster. In her legal career to date, Ms. Heller as come to appreciate the detail and technical involvement necessary to handle complex child custody and property distribution cases, and as a result, is able to assist her client’s in achieving their goals.
Ms. Heller received her Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude from Temple University’s School of Communications winning the Herman Ellis Award for academic achievement, professional promise and leadership. Ms. Heller earned her Juris Doctorate degree form Temple University’s School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Arizona, the United States District Court, the United States Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Tax Court.
Ms. Heller is also involved in various community, civic and professional activities. She is a member of the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Family Law Section.
Ms. Heller also handled the appeal in the often-cited case, Hamblin v. Hamblin, 203 Ariz. 341, 54 P.3d 371 (Ct. App. 2003), which concerned child support and adoption subsidy issues.
