A founding member of NRG, Mr. González lends more than seven years of family law experience to his position with an emphasis on domestic orders of protection, criminal domestic violence violations, and general family law litigation.
Prior to joining NRG, Mr. González represented clients in family law matters with Goldberg & Jones, P.L.L.C. since
September 2001. Mr. González has extensive experience with orders of protection having tried in excess of 75 cases within the past two years in both obtaining and defending against orders of protection.
Mr. González, with a background in criminal law defense provides advice and counsel to clients charged with domestic violence crimes.
A diligent counselor and an aggressive litigator, Mr. González has a deep-rooted commitment to the family law profession in Arizona.
Mr. González continues to be active in the Phoenix community. He is a current member of the State Bar of Arizona’s Conflict Case Committee and Committee on Minorities and Women in the Law, a member of Los Abogados, and a participant on the Membership Committee in the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Gonzalez also earned Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award 2005 for his efforts.
Mr. González has devoted countless hours in providing legal assistance to victims of domestic violence. Mr. González was named the 1999 Attorney of the Year for the Southern Arizona Legal Aid Domestic Violence Law Clinic for his efforts. Mr. González is also a volunteer with Community Legal Services.
Other community service projects include volunteer work with speaking at career days at Cesar Chavez High School and at Wilson Elementary. Mr. González also served as a tutor/mentor for underprivileged children through Los Padrinos in Tucson, Arizona.
Mr. González received both his Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, and graduated with academic honors.
