Arizona Mental Health and Elder Law Services

Dealing with the mental or physical disability of a loved one is often overwhelming both emotionally and financially. NRG's attorneys provide thoughtful and sensitive counsel to individuals and families dealing with such disorders and developmental disabilities. We also provide counsel to private fiduciaries and institutional providers of direct care services, in order to assist them in meeting their legal and ethical responsibilities in caring for clients with disabilities. From the preparation of a simple will or trust to asset preservation planning, NRG helps families, executives, entrepreneurs, and others strategically manage their wealth to ensure maximum value in the future.

We provide specific assistance with:

  • Guardianships, Conservatorships and Custodianships

Many people have not planned for their will, power of attorney and/or a trust. If someone becomes incapacitated and cannot make health care or placement decisions for themselves, the court is requested to appoint a guardian. If an incapacitated person cannot manage their financial affairs, the person may need a court-appointed conservator. A conservator can protect assets from being wasted or dissipated by the incapacitated person or by an exploiter. Led by Carol A. Soderquiest, the former Co-Chair of the State Bar of Arizona's Mental Health and Elder Law Committee, NRG has vast experience in Title 14 guardianship and conservatorship proceedings.

Visit our Guardianships and Custodianships section to learn more.

  • Probate
  • Will contests
  • Private Fiduciary litigation
  • Administration of decedent estates and trusts
  • And more.

Please contact Carol A. Soderquist, who heads NRG’s Mental Health & Elder Law Practice for further information.
